The UK Immigration: ID Check app lets you confirm your identity online when: • applying for a visa • updating your personal details on your UKVI account • setting up access to your online immigration status (eVisa) Before you start You must follow the steps in the online application form, account update or eVisa form before using the app. You will need to be in a well-lit area, so you can take a good quality photograph of yourself. You need to use: • an iPhone 8 or newer • iOS 16 or later If you are applying for a visa If you use this app when you apply for a visa, you will not have to attend an appointment to confirm your identity.
